Hokowhitu School School - Palmerston North - 2 kw

Hokowhitu School is proud to be involved in the Schoolgen Project. We are excited about being the first Manawatu/Wanganui Schoolgen school and about all the learning opportunities that the Schoolgen Project will bring to our school.

We believe in sustainability and improving our environment. We have been involved in the Paper for Trees programme for three years and have used the native plants received through our recycling efforts to enhance our school grounds. We have an enthusiastic and dedicated environmental group - our Green Team - that run a worm farm, a vegetable garden, the Paper for Trees project and a composting system as well as being involved in a range of other activities promoting care of the environment.

We would like to thank Genesis Energy for the opportunity to become a Schoolgen School.
